The room he had chosen for their first day was small with gently woven mats from wall to wall by width and half wood by the length. The wood half was used to practice martial arts and lightsaber forms while the matted side was more comfortable to sit on and forgiving to spar on. She wasn't prepared for any of that yet though, today he would ease her into some of the easier aspects of the force. He had taught her a few things some time ago but he was unsure of just how much she remembered at this point. So they would start all over from the beginning.
If she showed up on time! He had left her sprawled out on the bed this morning. He told her he wasn't responsible for her training other then for the instruction. It would be up to her to accept her own responsibility and show up on time and ready for hard work. This could be the difference between her life and death - only she could choose to take it seriously.
The large sun of Abbaji was now over the tree line east of the compound and the light got magnified through the wall which was nearly a full sheet of glass besides the wooden runners between the panes to hold it in place. The room was plain, lacking decoration and distraction, the foundation was the most fundamental part of a jedi's training. Without a strong base to grow off of a jedi can easily lose their path, so until she was ready for more of a challenge he would keep it as simple and straightforward as possible with her. For now at least she'd be able to appreciate the small view in the short intervals of their training, she'd be getting much closer with the surrounding wilderness sooner or later. Much much closer...
